I am a bassist and bagpiper based in New York City. Some of the many hats I’ve worn in the music business besides performer and side man include: composer, arranger, music director, producer, band leader.
Originally from rural Connecticut, I was raised on music from an early age. The high school programs in music were excellent, and further helped my musicality develop. From there I went to Berklee, from which I graduated in 2009, having had the great opportunity of studying with Oscar Stagnaro, John Lockwood, Esperanza Spalding, Walter Beasely, Bruce Gertz, and many other fine musicians and instructors. While finishing my degree, I taught private lessons on both instruments, and also taught at School Of Rock.
After moving out of Boston in 2010, I worked a couple of cruise ship contracts. In between, I wrote and produced my first record, “Help! I Lost My Body . . .”
In April 2012 I moved to New York City and have been constantly hustling and working as a bassist and piper.
